Now that the word is out that we are taking our big American trip, things have been getting a little bit crazy. Our lease is up on June 30th so we have been packing day and night. A BIG THANK YOU to our family who has helped tremendously already with packing and transportation.
I wanted to take this post as an opportunity to get some information and suggestions on places you’ve visited in the USA. If you have any places that slap-ya-in-the-face then please let me know! This is our greatest adventure yet, and we want to make it the best it can possibly be. One of the things that we are really looking forward to on this trip is visiting the national parks. I looked online, and you can get an annual pass to all the national parks for $80. Score!
Since it will obviously be HOT in coming months, we have decided to start with the northern states and work our way south to avoid all the awful things that can come with extreme heat, especially since we will be outdoors 80% of the time. Our first stop will be Gatchel, IN as we travel toward the New England area. I have visited this area before but it will be Parker’s first time, and I could go back a million times over.
I think the thing that excites me the most about this trip apart from it obviously being an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, is the diversity that we will encounter as we travel whether it be demographically, geographically, culturally, etc. We are all so used to our own little “bubble” that we often forget there is an entire world out there other than our own.
Here are some of the cool things we hope to do of many:
Please please please feel free to comment with suggestions!
